3.0 out of 5 stars Ok, but not great, November 30, 2010
By
Lady E (Ventura, CA United States) - See all my reviews
I bought these because my son wanted the Diego design and Pampers are a good brand. I had purchased Huggies prior to this and liked them, but didn't think there'd be much of a difference. I was wrong. Huggies Pull-Ups have the "Easy Open Sides" and that is very convenient. It's so frustrating to have to take off shoes & pants when needing a new pair in a public bathroom.

The other thing is that the color change symbols are so light that there's no incentive to keep it there like on the Pull-Ups... he can't see them. He has trouble pulling up both types, but did better with the Pull-Ups. I've never had either type rip when pulling them up myself or having him do it as mentioned by others.

I also like that the Pull-Ups have a cool feel as an indicator to him that he's had a bit of a leak and instigates him to use the potty. The Easy Ups don't have anything like that and we have not had any progression toward better potty training. It doesn't bother him to... Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but not great..., October 25, 2010

I bought these through Amazon Mom for a great price, however there are a few things I wish I had known before making the purchase.

First, these run very small. I ordered size 5, and they fit much smaller than a size 5 diaper. My son can wear them, but I have to adjust them because every once in a while one of his cheeks pops out! He is currently wearing size 2T pants, if that's any help as to size.

Second, These are NOT resealable like the other brand. Once you open them at the sides, that's it. This may or may not be a deal breaker for you, but I thought it was a big distinction.

Otherwise they work as they should and are definitely being sold at a great price.

1.0 out of 5 stars Tears easily - will not stand being pulled up and down, February 3, 2009
We were loyal to Pampers Diapers, but Pampers Easy Up are not very good. The Pampers Easy Ups have no velcro sides (so you must wrap each "accident" in a plastic bag, and the soiled training pants are harder to remove without making a mess), and Pampers Easy Ups are very flimsy on the sides and tear easily, so even if your child has no accidents, he still will need several Easy Ups throughout the day, since they will keep tearing and falling off, with just the gentle motion of your child pulling them down and up to use the bathroom.

Huggies Pull Ups are the disposable training pants that you want. The "velcro" on the sides is useful for changing accidents. The pants also don't rip after a day of being pulled up and down. Buy the Huggies Pull Ups and each one will last all day.

2.0 out of 5 stars Pros & cons from an honest parent (not vine member), March 15, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
Most of the reviews listed here on this product are from people who are either mistakenly reviewing the "chlorine-free" not the new "free and clear" designed diapers (which have only been available starting March 2011), have only experience with traditional brands (i.e. pampers, huggies, luvs, generic rather than this brand or other "green" brands), or "vine" reviews. For those who don't know, "vine" is an amazon program that gives free products in exchange for reviews. The only purpose of the "vine" program is to promote new products and market them to the public through "personal" reviews. It is all paid for by the sponsoring company to ensure products come into the market with ample reviews posted.

As a parent, it's hard for me to spend money based on the opinions of someone who has been compensated to give their opinions on a certain product (also someone who has no experience with that category of product - such as "green" diapers). Isn't everything better when it's... Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible: don't know what happened to these, they were great!, April 4, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: Seventh Generation Free and Clear Baby Diapers, Stage 6, 22 Count (Pack of 4) (Health and Beauty)
We have been ordering Seventh generation diapers in every size since our twins were born. I have to say that they have always been fabulous. Most recently I went to get my shipment of size 6 on subscribe and save delivered to discover there was a newer version, the free and clear ones. I placed that order with no hesitation. I have to say they are a HUGE disappointment! They leak, badly. There is not as much absorbency with these at all and I am really bummed. I hope this is corrected. Honestly I am tempted to send them back they are so bad.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great ecofriendly diaper, February 13, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
I chose Seventh Generation diapers because I wanted an ecofriendly diaper. Unfortunately, we cannot put in the time for reusable diapers, but the Seventh Generation diapers promise another option. While all disposable diapers are going into the landfills, these diapers don't have all the chemicals the others have. Less chemicals in the dirt; less chemicals on my baby! It's a win-win!

All that is nice, but every parent knows that you need a diaper that works. I love these diapers. They keep my daughter dry, and the mess stays in her diaper. We had some leakage problems when she was a newborn, but that happened with several brands of diaper we tried (Earth's Best, Huggies, Pampers). I think it was more to do with her stage rather than the quality of the diapers. When my daughter was 3-4 months old, we had to finish out some Huggies, and they leaked every time. When I finally finished out that package, I switched back to Seventh Generation, and we haven't had a... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Recent production batteries...not factory surplus apparently, April 22, 2010
    Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
I'm pretty used to buying batteries online and finding they had been made long before I ordered them (had some CR123 with experations the next month from another vendor). In at least my case, my batteries from this vendor show a production date of 3/30/10...and I ordered them on April 18th. You can't get any younger batteries (exp is Mar2016). I'll be checking this distrbutor out for the rest of my battery needs.

I got these about three weeks ago, and still haven't used them up yet. So many batteries. Awesome. So far, they've lasted about four times as long in my Canon digital point-and-shoot than my Energizer rechargeables. And they're on track to outperform the regular Energizers in my Xbox controllers. I think I'm a coppertop convert. The price is pretty good, too--probably not the absolute cheapest, but these are real Duracells (not knockoffs) that are far from their expiration date.

5.0 out of 5 stars Duracell batteries at an Amazon price, May 24, 2010
    Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
If you check out local stores, you will find these are at least a bit below retail sales price for these batteries. Batteries will always be around the same price, but a few dollars off is worth getting them through Amazon!
